I stay in Vyalilaval and my office is at Binnamangala. There are good frequency of buses from Binnamangala to Shivaginagar, but traveling from Shivajinagar to Vyalikaval takes lot of time as the frequency is bad. Traveling time is less the 15 min but waiting time for bus to board some times goes to 90 min.
My Suggestion:
As there are many buses via JC Nagar to reach Makeri Circle we can change the routs of G9 or 278 series.
Route suggested : Shivajinagar > Vasanth Nagar > Palace Gutahalli > Makeri Circle and continue with their respective routs.
If we implement the above we can stop the service of bus number 100 (Sadashivanagar to Shivajinagar) For people at Sadashivanagar should be given the option to boarding the bus at somewhere near Cauvery Theatre. Please do consider the suggestion for happy traveling.
Thanks & Regards,
Sandhya.

Fantastic work. Keep the good work going. very useful for common man. Distance between source and destination as well as transit points ( in terms of km ) would be of much more help.

I don't have the distance data. You can use the number of stops as a rough measure of the distance.

Brilliant initiative. A lot of times we avoid taking buses simply because we dont have a clear idea of which buses to take, optimum routes etc. This site makes that information so clear and easy to access. It certainly should encourage people to take to buses!

Excellent effort to help common-folk, Narasimha!!!
The options (min hops, max availability, etc) are very thoughtful indeed.
Thanks for your service. Really appreciate the pains taken to compile the rich information in this site. Hopefully you got the information from BMTC and it does not keep changing often...

The site is really helpful, thank you very much.
I just thought if there was an option like...
->On selecting a bus-stop and you show all the buses that go through that bus-stop. That would be helpful for ppl like me who are new to bangalore.

Great website. I use this very often and have suggested to many.
Have you thought of making a phone friendly UI? It is very difficult to scroll through hundreds of bus stops from the From/To list on Android/iPhone devices. Just a suggestion.

Very good observation. Even I've experienced this pain on mobile devices. Any suggestions, preferably not involving javascript are welcome.

I commute by bus often but as our city grows there are many a new areas and we are bound not to know all the routes, thank god for the portal makes the job easy. Would be good if even on lookers can drop a route info that they frequently travel and know the best in that way route info can much be enhanced!!! Grt job!!!

i want to make sum comments on 288 series buses.
288, 288B, 288C, 288G, 288H, 288M go through Sanjeevininagar(Kodigehalli Main Road) not Sahakarnagar.
288A, 288D, 288E take a deviation n go through Sahakarnagar. these buses dont ply via Sanjeevininagar.
its either Sanjeevivnagar or Sahakarnagar, not both...
and 288F terminates at Sahakarnagar itself... and i advice u to change the name of the stop Sonappa Layout to "Kodigehalli Railway Gate"... the name 'Sonappa Layout' is unheared of by the ppl actually...
and i would also suggest u to change the name of stop Nanjappa Layout to "Nanjappa Circle" in the 288M route...
hope u consider this...
