Tips for searching

  1. Some places have more than one name, for e.g., Kempegowda Bus Station is commonly known as Majestic - try searching for all the names.
  2. If you do not find a bus route for a place, try searching for nearby places. Many times there are good bus services to some areas but not to nearby ones. For instance, Agara (Sarjapur Road) is a major junction for buses; however HSR Layout which is adjacent does not have a very good bus service.
  3. Use the hints in brackets to distinguish between two different places having the same name, for e.g., Agara (Kanakapura Road) and Agara (Sarjapur Road).
  4. The last column that you see in the search results does not necessarily enumerate the bus stops. Rather it traces the detailed route taken by a bus number. The actual bus stop names may vary slightly.
  5. The special services such as Pushpak and Volvo are distinguished by the following prefixes in the bus route number: 'AS' for Atal Sarige, 'B' and 'C' for Big Circle, 'CH' for Chakra, 'G' for Big 10, 'J' for Janapriya Vahini, 'K' for Chikka Circle, 'P' for Pushpak, 'V' for Volvo, 'MBS' for Metro Bus Service, MF for Metro Feeder and 'TR' for Trunk Route. These may not be very up to date.
  6. The bus timings and frequency vary much faster than the route numbers. Further buses do not always adhere to the stipulated timings. Hence it is not possible to provide accurate and up to date information on the bus timings.
  7. The route plan determined by the Shortest Distance method may not be directly useful since it tends to generate too many hops. It is included in the search options for the sake of completeness only.

BANGALORE: On the occasion 32nd bus day celebration BMTC, it started 10 new services in the city on commuters' demand. Apart from 80,700 trips made from 6124 schedules on a daily basis with just 5900 buses in the city, the BMTC has been operating 1500 more general shift schedules till 11pm in the night, adding more than 3000 trips to meet additional demand.

The BMTC has also planned to roll 100 more buses to make 800 additional trips to meet the demand.

The new services started by BMTC:

1. Route 305-NT--Whitefield TTMC to Kattigenahalli via Hope Farm, Naduvatti, Bisanahalli, Makanahalli.

2. Route No. 225AB--Kempegowda Bus Station to Srinivas Colony via MCTC, Vaderahalli.

3. Route No. 315--Kempegowda Bus Station to K.R.Puram via Corporation, Halasur, Benniganahalli.

4. A.C. Corona on Route No. 364-K with two schedules between Kempegowda Bus Station and Yalenahalli via Shanthinagar Bus Station, Vijay Bank Layout.

5. Route No. 366AB--K.R Market to Kodi Chikkanahalli via Gurappana Palya, BTM Layout 4Th phase.

6. Volvo on Route No. 310 between Shivajinagar and K.R.Puram via Mayohall, Benniganahalli.

7. Route No. 227-UB --K.R.Market to Gungarahalli via Kengeri, Dodda Aaladamara, Manchanabele.

8. Route No. 317-YE--Kempegowda Bus Station to Govindapura via Corporation, Halasoor, KR Puram, Hoskote.

9. Vayu Vajra Route No. 5A with two schedules between Gottigere and Bangalore International Airport

10. Volvo on Route No. 500-CB Mico Shramajeevi Layout and Dinnur via I.T.P.L.

From City Railway Station, take the subway to the city bus stand (Majestic Bus Stand), and board Volvo 333W to reach Devarabisanahalli. You can also catch any bus to Marathahalli Bridge and change over to any 500 series from there. Use the search boxes above for more options.

If you are coming by bus from Chennai, then you should get down at Silk Board junction on Hosur Road. From there, lots of buses in the 500 series ply to Devarabisanahalli.
